Our current portfolio of projects demonstrates the depth of experience that Viaduct has within the infrastructure industry
Our current projects include a multi-modal transport scheme in the Midlands, where we are utilising the Viaduct ‘Project in a Box’ methodology to get projects up and running. Project in a Box brings total solutions to the table, for Clients and passengers alike. In times of reduced public funding, innovative solutions to funding, procurement, engineering and delivery are key to the success of any project. Project in a Box (PiaB) is a prime example of how an alternative approach can benefit the whole supply chain through to the paying customers.

Viaduct continue to provide Centro and Mott MacDonald with support on the Midland Metro network extension throughout the Midlands with cost estimates and risk management. Mathew Taylor’s involvement in helping to bring the Metro extensions from the drawing board to reality started in 2007 and continue to date. The Birmingham City Centre Extension links Snow Hill terminus to the new Heavy Rail station now known as Gateway. The link of light rail to heavy rail at the old Birmingham New Street Station site represents a real multi-modal approach to integrated transport in the Midlands. Additional extensions to the Metro system have long been publicised, and Viaduct are proud to have a long history with the success of these schemes.
Viaduct have been working with SLC Rail on several projects ranging from franchise bid support through to estimate validation for new railway stations. SLC are a rapidly growing business based in the Midlands, the team lead by Ian Walters, provide rail advisory services to Clients including Warwickshire County Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
